FEATURED WORK
Designing transdisciplinary interventions to address human behavior near grizzly bears
Grand Teton National Park faces significant challenges in mitigating vehicle-related risks to grizzly bears along a critical wildlife corridor within the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. Despite speed limits, drivers often fail to comply, increasing the likelihood of harmful encounters with wildlife.
Our team employed an iterative design
process, developing and testing a range of signage design prototypes to determine
their effectiveness in reducing speeding.

FEATURED WORK
Designing and testing Leave No Trace signage using research-based visual communication and outdoor recreation messaging principles
Through a unique cross disciplinary collaboration, students in the Department of Design at the University Kansas and the Parks, Tourism, and Recreation Management Program at the University of Montana worked together—each employing their own expertise in either graphic design or recreation management—to design and test signage containing Leave No Trace messaging in Missoula, Montana's Conservation Lands.
